You might recall a case from back in 2012, in which two video poker players were arrested, jailed, and charged by federal prosecutors with “hacking” video poker machines from coast to coast. This “open-and-shut” case of cheating involved “exploiting a hidden glitch” in the machines’ Double Up feature and over a three-year period, the players won a cool million dollars, ending when they were taken into custody. The whole episode is dramatized in a 14-minute YouTube video produced by TILT, a podcast dedicated to casino cheats, scams, and heists. This story, however, turns out to be something else entirely. It’s definitely worth a watch. And once again, thanks to Canada Roy for the link.
