Truist Securities gaming-analysis department surveyed upwards of 800 U.S. consumers about Las Vegas and what they found was much “more positive that expected,” given the negative perceptions that have circulated for more than a year. Nearly three-quarters of those polled were positive about Las Vegas as a “value-oriented destination” and fully 88 percent were favorable toward the wave of all-inclusive packages at the Plaza, Boyd downtown properties, MGM, and Caesars. Roughly 65% said their image of Sin City had improved over the last few years and 78 percent were planning a visit in the next year. More telling, efforts to upgrade Las Vegas bargain-oriented image appear to be working: 64% said their view of the city was “Much better” or “Slightly better” since the all-inclusive deals started. The survey speaks to the overall resilience of Las Vegas as a destination, the Truist analysts concluded.
