The National Football League announced yesterday that Las Vegas will be the host city for Super Bowl LXIII in February 2029 at Allegiant Stadium. The announcement came from Phoenix at the NFL Annual Meeting, after “a  review by the NFL’s Fan Engagement and Major Events Committee and a vote by all the owners,” according to the press release. When Las Vegas hosted the Big Game in 2024, it drew 330,000 people and generated upwards of $1 billion dollars’ worth of economic impact and “63 in ’29” is expected to do just as well, if not better. Also, it’s yet another big event in the late 2020s for the city, with the new Hard Rock opening in 2027 and the A’s stadium scheduled for completion in 2028.
