Academy Award-winning director Martin Scorcese (The Departed) and actor Robert DeNiro (Godfather II, Raging Bull) are returning to Las Vegas for a new eight-episode untitled Netflix series — “a modernized, but still dangerous, version of the legendary city,” according to the Irish gossip website Joe.ie. Oscar Isaac (lots of movies, including Star Wars and X-Men) will play the leading role as a hotel-casino owner who “has to make some long-odds moves to try and secure his position and take more ground” (sounds like Stupak). No timetable for shooting or release has been revealed or what role DeNiro will embody. Thanks to Canada Roy for digging this out.
