In last night’s sixth game of Round 2 of the National Hockey League playoffs, the Vegas Golden Knights crushed the Anaheim Ducks 5-1. The VGK emerged victorious from the round 4 games to 2. The home team now advances to the Western Conference championship round against the Colorado Avalanche; the first game is on Wednesday at Ball Arena in Denver. If they beat the Avalanche, they’ll play for the Stanley Cup against either the Carolina Hurricanes, which swept the Philadelphia Flyers 4-0, or the winner of the Montreal Canadiens-Buffalo Sabres series; the Canadiens currently lead 3-2. The VGK last won the Cup in 2023.
