Yesterday, 0.02 (one-fiftieth) of an inch of rainfall was recorded at the official measuring station at Reid International, which officially ended a 124-day streak of completely dry weather throughout the valley. That didn’t come close to breaking the record, 240 days in 2019-2020, when no rain fell between December and early May. Monsoon season is around the corner and if the Super El Niño forecast for this year comes to fruition, it could mean records for rainfall will be broken and then some.
