The general contractor and A’s team president appeared before the Las Vegas Stadium Authority yesterday and said construction of the $2 billion 33,000-seat stadium is moving along and right on schedule for opening day of the 2028 MLB season. A’s President Marc Badain told the Authority that the first set of suites and premium memberships in exclusive areas behind home plate put on sale in March sold out quickly. In addition, 80% of the home-plate seasons tickets have been gobbled up and general-public tickets will be offered “in the coming months.” The team itself is on a winning streak, sitting in first place in the American League West with a record of 26-24, a game and a half in front of the Texas Rangers. They’ll play six games at Las Vegas Ballpark and a few tickets are still available.
