Poker.org yesterday reported on the final numbers from this year’s WSOP (all but the order of the final nine, which will be decided in a couple off weeks). The total number of entries was 251,899, setting a new record for a single year, though the 9,208 who bought in to the Main Event fell far short of the record of 10,112 set in 2024. The total prize money came to just under $470 million, of which 41 prizes were over $1 million. The rake was $47.3 million, of which $14.2 million was paid out in salaries, leaving a mere $33.1 million for the WSOP. Players from 149 countries entered the series, with 111 countries represented in the Main Event, a new record. Seven tournaments attracted more than 10,000 entries.
