The 4.57 million passengers who traveled through Harry Reid International Airport in May were a decline of 8.4% from May 2025’s 4.99 million. The drop is attributed to Spirit Airlines shutting down operations completely on the second day of the month. Year to date, Reid has served 21.5 million passengers, down 6.2% year over year. Domestic travel in May was down 8.6%, while international passenger counts dropped 5.7%, from 303,000 flyers in May 2025 to 286,000 this year. Spirit processed only 3,900 passengers in May compared to 511,000 in May 2005. Otherwise, Frontier, American, and United passenger numbers were up in May, Southwest and Delta down slightly.
