Move over Big Shot (at the STRAT). Eye Dropper is a 200-foot “psychedelic thrill ride that transforms the classic drop tower into a cinematic story-driven experience inspired by trippy art and altered states of perception,” per the hyperbolic press release. “Delivering multiple high-intensity sensations,” Eye Dropper combines space shot (up) and turbo drop (down) sequences at speeds up to 36 mph and 4 Gs to -1.2 Gs of weightlessness. “Following each drop, guests descend through a sensory cool down as the system resets, completing a fully immersive spectacle.” The ride is part of Area15’s 30-acre Zone 2 expansion, along with the Universal Horror Unleashed attraction, Museum of Ice Cream (opening on July 3), the long-awaited Boeing 747 private event and lounge venue, and several new eateries. Eye Dropper hours are daily 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and tickets are $25 for 13 and older, $20 for 12 and younger and military, etc.
