Last week at an appearance in front of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, a Bally’s lawyer testified that the megaresort that will probably eventually surround the A’s stadium will definitely not be ready by opening day of the 2028 MLB season. Instead, Bally’s is obligated to complete infrastructure tasks — parking garages, utilities, and the plaza. Beyond that, Bally’s plans for the hotel-casino keep getting deflated and delayed, but the next phase will be the 500,000-square-foot retail and entertainment space, a.k.a. the RED District. Meanwhile, the stadium is really taking shape, with the whole bowl outlined, three levels of grandstands constructed, and one of the massive roof trusses in place. It’s worth taking a look at the stadium webcam, which you can link to here and from this site under Visit > Vegas Extras > Webcams to see the progress.
