To no one’s surprise, Clark County commissioners approved the 10-year contract extension for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, meaning F1 will take over Vegas through 2037, at least. As a sop to local businesses and Strip employees, the commissioners demanded — demanded! — that race organizers “further condense future construction timelines and improve traffic mitigation.” We’re all looking forward to that day.
